About

A daily dose of Caucasian mountain cuisine

"Gurmadze" is a family-run mountain restaurant where several generations of a family can gather around the same table. Children can play in a spacious playroom, while their parents can relax by the fireplace with a real fire. In essence, "Gurmadze" is a new approach to everyday cuisine with a mountain twist. The restaurant uses locally sourced Caucasian ingredients and adapts them to the modern culinary preferences of the Ural region. Each dish, drink, dessert, and even liqueur features Caucasian specialties: vegetables, herbs, and Caucasian berries. And yes, the chef at "Gurmadze" is not afraid to experiment and combine Caucasian ingredients with European flavors. Guests can easily find truffle sauce and dressings made from vegetables and fruits in the dishes. The key concept is the use of authentic ingredients. The mountain, wild onions at "Gurmadze" are brought from Tajikistan. Chives, wild garlic, and okra are imported from Armenia. From there, they also bring zucchinni and bulgur. And the leaves of chili peppers used in the "Tsakhon" sauce are specially brought to us from Ossetia. The restaurant features a European, minimalist interior where the focus is on the food. However, subtle Caucasian motifs are also present. There is a spacious playroom, a year-round summer terrace, and a fireplace with a real fire for rainy and cold evenings. And yes, the wine is stored in a large wine cellar near the entrance to the restaurant.
