This is the somewhat simpler and entirely regionally oriented alternative to the Gründler family's small restaurant Gourmet Stüberl. Also located in the Hotel Alpin, the same high cooking standards apply – the food is clearly structured, very carefully prepared and fresh as can be. Shining examples include smoked lettuce soup with Tyrolean speck quiche or goulash of Alpine beef shank, fried egg, pickles, bread dumpling. As well as the well-curated à la carte selection, there is a surprise menu comprising three to five courses. The space is bright, the atmosphere friendly, the service attentive and proficient. The excellent wine list has over 250 labels, with Austria particularly well represented.
