Evgeny Reimer, a restaurateur, is the author of the "Grill and Powder" concept. Together with his team, including brand chef Anton Ostroukhov (Beerokratiya) and bartender Nikita Gavrilov (Robbi, Kharizma), they have created a project that bridges the gap between street food and restaurant culture. The menu features shawarma as a main course and donuts as a dessert. Shawarma is considered one of the healthiest fast-food options, as it contains protein, carbohydrates, and fiber, making it a balanced product. Donuts, on the other hand, are a childhood favorite treat. While shawarma is considered a simple product, each country has its own unique way of preparing it, with its own nuances and secrets. The project team embarked on a culinary expedition, visiting Turkey, Israel, Jordan, Oman, Germany, and the United Kingdom, in search of the best recipes. At "Grill and Powder," you'll find variations ranging from the classic chicken shawarma to doner kebab and shawarma with meatballs or falafel.

The establishment is located in the historical heart of Samara, at the intersection of Kuibyshev (formerly Dvorianskaya) and Leningradskaya (formerly Panskay) streets, in the building that once housed the Main Post Office (address: Leningradskaya, 24). In pre-revolutionary times, a confectionery shop owned by merchant Pelageya Vasilievna Kryuger was located in the same building. The confectionery shop offered specialties such as "horn of plenty," rum babas, and donuts. "Grill and Powder" has recreated the recipe for the legendary Samara donuts with powdered sugar, bringing back another forgotten flavor for the residents and visitors of the city.

The menu also features a variety of beverages to complement the food, including ayran, pomegranate tea, spicy tomato juice, and an interesting coffee selection, including a date-flavored raf and coffee in the Eastern style. The establishment also offers a good selection of beer for those who enjoy it.
