This charming restaurant serves regional cuisine prepared with high-quality ingredients – the chef has a particular passion for risotto. Offal dishes, such as tripe or liver, are also available. The Gourmet Galgenspiess flambiert (flambéed hanging skewer) and the Chateaubriand have to be ordered in advance and are served to the whole table. The rustic downstairs space makes for a cosy setting; the upstairs room is a little more elegant. With her friendly, outgoing manner, the proprietress brings a personal touch to the service. The peaceful rural location, about 25km from Zurich, is a draw in itself.
