Agon BBQ Ratskeller

A restaurant with a warm atmosphere, a signature smoker, steaks, interesting vegetable dishes, and a diverse selection of international beers, all located in the historic cellars of the Ekaterinburg City Hall. The heart of the restaurant is the four-meter-tall smoker, "Agon," located in the center of the main hall. It's used to prepare brisket from marbled beef, locally sourced trout, and ribs. The menu features a "Superfood Avocado Salad," a "Cabbage Heart" salad, and steaks made from dry-aged beef. The name "Agon" is a reminder that the "A" is derived from an upside-down image of a bull's head, and it's also a favorite guest review. The word "ratskeller" refers to the cellar of the city hall, and the tradition of using these cellars as restaurants is popular in German cities. In Russia, a "ratskeller" exists only in Ekaterinburg. The walk-in cooler displays dozens of beers, stouts, lagers, and wheat beers from California to the Ural Mountains. In the summer, a greenhouse called "Agon-Garden" opens along the restaurant. The restaurant team uses a mobile smoker, a spit, a grill, and an "asado" grill to create "Agon-Park" at food festivals.
