About

A cafe in a residential complex, where you can "step out" without going downtown.

In early June 2025, the "7 A.M. Readers" cafe opened in the "Malookhtinskiy, 68" residential complex, just a few minutes from the Neva embankment. This is the second project from the "7 A.M." team, already known to many for its cozy cafe on Dalnevostochny Prospekt. The new space features an extensive menu and original cuisine in the style of honest comfort food, classic and seasonal coffee drinks, signature infusions, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of a neighborhood cafe where you always want to return.

The new location is a reason to add another stop to your usual routes: for a morning coffee, a delicious breakfast, or a relaxed meeting with friends after work. The attention to detail creates an immediate sense of comfort: high ceilings, antique mirrors, vintage furniture, soft lighting – it all feels like stepping into a cozy city apartment with a history. The interior was designed in collaboration with the young designer Anastasia Volkova, while the concept and menu were conceived and implemented by the project owners, Olga Karelina and Anastasia Muranova, resulting in a bright and slightly nostalgic space with no hint of pretension. During the day, sunlight streams through the panoramic windows, illuminating the wooden tables, while the evening is perfect for pleasant conversations and quiet reflection.

The menu features familiar and beloved flavors, but with subtle nuances that make each visit special. Breakfast is served starting at 9:00 AM and continues until noon, offering options from a classic English breakfast and oatmeal with fried banana to brioche with shrimp, capers, spinach, and tom yum sauce. Every morning, it's customary to celebrate with a small treat – a glass of sparkling wine is offered as a complimentary welcome. During the day and evening, there's a wide selection of dishes in the style of home cooking with a restaurant touch: borscht with beef, pike cutlets with mashed potatoes, ravioli with pork cheeks and oyster mushrooms in a creamy demi-glace, a burger with a marbled beef patty and cherries. For those who appreciate variety, there are business lunches, as well as vegan and gluten-free options, such as banana bread with coconut cream or sweet potato pancakes.

Coffee is treated with special care here: freshly roasted beans from the local SIBARISTICA, filter coffee and classics to suit every taste, specialty cocoa from the Unicava line, and a wide selection of teas. Every morning, fresh pastries and desserts arrive – crispy croissants, fragrant rolls, cakes, and pastries that disappear faster than they can be arranged on the shelves. The menu also includes seasonal drinks such as iced latte with a delicate cheese foam or a tropical smoothie with coconut milk. And if you're looking for something stronger, they offer signature infusions, from a bright basil flavor to cherry with thyme, as well as classic cocktails and spirits.

Guests are greeted as if you've not just walked into a cafe, but returned to the home of old friends who have been waiting for you. The entire family can visit "Readers" – there's a play area for children in the style of a cozy house. While the adults chat over coffee, the little ones are busy with their own activities. And if you can't imagine a walk without your furry friend, feel free to bring them along: the space is dog-friendly, and furry guests are always welcome.

"7 A.M. Readers" is like an archival black and white photograph that you want to look at for a long time: everything here comes together in a frame where you can escape the hustle and bustle, order another glass of wine, and talk about important things, knowing that you don't have to rush anywhere.
