About
Alexander began his career working at a resort restaurant in Yalta. After gaining sufficient experience, he moved to Moscow, where he worked at the "Rucola" restaurant on Arbat, at Modus, owned by Andrei Kolodyazhny, and, together with Vladislav Piskunov, launched the "Matryoshka" project. He gained extensive experience in Pan-Asian cuisine while working with Jack Wong at Asia Hall. After completing training at the SVCh culinary school, he ultimately specialized in Italian cuisine with a Pan-Asian influence. Alexander explains his choice by saying that he appreciates the balanced flavors of Italian cuisine, while also enjoying the vibrant sauces of Asian cuisine.
Alexander is originally from Yalta, Crimea. His mother was a pastry chef and introduced him to the culinary world. After graduating from school, he had to choose between computer science and cooking, but because he was more interested in ingredients and the process of preparing them, he chose the latter and began to develop in that direction.
