An ultra-popular restaurant in the charming Jardins neighbourhood, and not by chance: it has more than three decades behind it and is under the baton of chef Mara Salles, a professional with a rich story to tell and, above all, a passionate champion of valuing regional and national ingredients in Brazilian cooking. Her kitchen is a true invitation to a gastronomic journey across the country, combining tradition, contemporary touches and plenty of affection. On the menu, with sharing options and individual plates, you’ll find treats such as Bolinho de pirarucu, pirarucu fish fritters; Bobozinho de camarão, a creamy prawn bobó; the classic Moqueca capixaba de peixe, Espírito Santo-style fish stew, plus an excellent feijoada served only on Saturdays. On the drinks side, you’ll find cocktails, caipirinhas, wines and a great selection of cachaças to sample or, if you prefer, to buy by the bottle. A tip? Make the most of your visit by taking home a jar of the house pickled chillies, they’re simply sensational!
