Having run their business with great success in a former ferry house in Bad Tölz for a number of years, Erich and Katharina Schwingshackl have returned to the very place in Lower Bavaria where the story of Schwingshackl ESSKULTUR began. Housed in Naturhotel Rebling, in a beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by idyllic countryside, this elegant little restaurant serves classic cuisine as a set menu comprising five to seven courses in the evening. Dishes such as "crustacean bisque, Norwegian scallop, mango" and "saddle of lamb from Gutshof Polting, aubergine, beans, pepper" stand out for their exceptional balance of flavours. The emphasis is laid squarely on what matters most: getting the very best out of excellent ingredients. Hostess and sommelier Katharina Schwingshackl always has the perfect wine recommendation up her sleeve. With her graceful and pleasantly unobtrusive approach, she is a consummate professional who provides service with a personal touch. Their second restaurant, HEIMATKÜCHE, has made the move to Rebling, too – serving regional cuisine, it is also open at lunchtime.
