La Fundición

Found in the heart of La Granja, just a few minutes' walk from both the Royal Palace and its beautiful gardens, the name of this restaurant (’The Foundry’ in English) is not a trivial detail, as it is located inside a building with a long history that provided both the Royal Palace and the old hospital with its plumbing. Today, after some great interior design work, it is set out with several spaces of unique ruggedness: the bar, the main dining room where the forge used to be, the delightful interior terrace-patio... Within a small but intriguing à la carte service and an extensive tasting menu (El Fundido), you’ll find excellent marinated oysters, a wonderful leek confit with squid beurre blanc, and their popular oxtail ravioli with foie gras sauce.
