Yume Izakaya

Yume Izakaya, a modern Japanese restaurant, is the brainchild of successful businessman Ivan Laushkin and restaurateur Vyacheslav Kazakov, the creator of the popular Hands neo-bistro and Hands Asian restaurants in Moscow's Khamovniki district.

Located in the heart of the tourist-friendly city of Rybinsk, Yume Izakaya is situated on one of the city's oldest streets, Krestovaya. "Yume," the word used in the restaurant's name, translates to "dream" in Japanese. "Izakaya" refers to a traditional Japanese bar: a casual establishment where people in Japan relax after work, enjoying food, drinks, and conversation. Yume Izakaya truly lives up to its name, offering a dreamlike atmosphere that is both welcoming and delicious.

Chef Yuri Em is responsible for the cuisine at Yume Izakaya, focusing on the taste and quality of the ingredients. The compact menu features classic dishes with a modern twist: salmon rolls, tuna rolls, the classic Philadelphia roll, and original creations with sea bass and crab, served on wooden platters. There are also plenty of surprises for even the most discerning palates. The menu includes unique appetizers, wok and robata dishes, warm rolls with chicken tempura, and "poke" bowls: signature dishes like "Fish, Yume," and "Ostroe" (spicy), where the fresh flavor of the fish is perfectly complemented by the sauces. The open kitchen allows diners to witness the entire cooking process.

Yume Izakaya features two small, intimate dining rooms. The interiors of both rooms are primarily decorated with natural materials, particularly wood. The warm atmosphere is enhanced by a muted color palette and an antique stove with tiles crafted in the style of 16th-century Vologda lace. The stove has been carefully restored and is a true centerpiece of Yume Izakaya. Interestingly, the fish depicted in the restaurant's logo can be found throughout the interior: thanks to the efforts of a talented local artist, its images adorn the walls and ceiling.
