About

A bar in a 19th-century building, formerly the first water pumping station beyond the Ural Mountains, featuring an automated cooler with a variety of drinks on tap and a waterfront-inspired kitchen offering cuisine from around the world.

The concept of the establishment is based on a cultural code with three components: History: The bar is located in the building of the former Water Pumping Station, which supplied water from the Tura River to the high bank. The first water supply system in Siberia was built from here. Historically, this part of the embankment was the most "lively" place in the city: in the 19th and 20th centuries, it housed the main pier, a railway station, and various fairs. Water: This building is one of the few in the city located near the water. And water is of particular importance to every person on Earth. Creativity: The space of this part of the embankment, where the bar is located, is largely created and associated with creative industries. In the neighboring building, there is the Kontora parokhodstva multi-center, where all kinds of contemporary art exhibitions, performances by young musicians, theatrical performances, and festivals are held. And our project's goal is to organically fit in and become a full-fledged part of it. Moreover, gastronomy is also a creative industry. We decided to create a place for people (since humans are 80% water), and for anyone who needs to replenish, we are ready to provide as much liquid, emotions, and impressions as needed. Our ambition is to become the most prominent place in the city for eating and drinking, as well as a must-visit destination for tourists, as we are located on the city's main landmark – the embankment. Bar Concept: We specialize in "drinks on tap," emphasizing the historical code embedded in the water pumping station building. But our main goal was not to create "just another beer bar." And we came up with an unusual solution that will definitely surprise and attract guests: an automated cooler with 13 taps. What we did: A 18 square meter glass room with a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. 13 taps with monitors and card readers along the perimeter. Each tap features a different drink: 5 types of beer, Negroni, Aperol, lemonades, still and sparkling wine. Bartenders pour cocktails and wines into special Cornelius kegs and, if necessary, carbonate them. Guests receive our branded card. They load it with any amount as a deposit. They choose a drink. All information about it is displayed on the screen. Glasses and ice are freely available to guests. All that remains is to insert the card and select the volume. After 8 seconds, the drink is in the guest's glass. Kitchen Concept: Food from waterfronts around the world. A fast-casual kitchen inspired by cuisines from various places near the water. It's like a giant food truck moving from place to place, parking at tourist spots along the Embankment and offering a variety of dishes that perfectly complement the drinks on tap. In addition, we strive to create the best street food on the world's waterfront (of course, ours). We've invented and included in the menu a "Tyumen pocket" – a flatbread from a wood-fired oven with a filling of meat and capers. Interior: We invited a young, bold, and ambitious Tyumen design studio, Galkin Studio, and created an interior that preserves the historical character of the place while adding a spirit of rebellion and creativity. The interior features many "Easter eggs." The mosaic depicts the bears that, according to stereotypes, roam the streets of Siberian cities. The bar counter is made of natural stone, which refers to one of the most expensive embankments – the Tyumen embankment – encased in granite. A real fireplace, lined with tiles that were in the merchant houses of Tyumen, is next to paintings by young Tyumen artists. As a tribute to the first water pumping station, we have placed a drinking fountain with filtered water in the hall. In addition to the summer terrace, which has already become a new gathering place for residents and visitors of the city in its first summer of operation, we will also have a winter terrace, as the largest city ice rink will be built near the "Water Pumping Station." We will open a kind of après-ski with warming drinks, snacks, and, of course, a lively atmosphere. Infusion Room: Next to the "Water Pumping Station" building, there is a small round structure with a diameter of 5 meters, where a water intake well used to be located. Now, a mini-infusion room has opened there. From floor to ceiling, shelves with infusions from the bartenders of the "Water Pumping Station" are lined along the walls. It opens once an hour for 10 minutes. To get in, you need to buy a shot, and during those 10 minutes, you can try any of the infusions on the shelves. Atmosphere: "Water Pumping Station" is a place that rocks. The best DJs in the city play here. The loudest parties are held here. One of the most recent was a "wedding" collaboration with the "Zdorovye" bar in the style of the strangest wedding traditions and stereotypes. Master classes in alcohol calligraphy, vinyl parties, jam sessions, and other events are held here, all aimed at breaking stereotypes and becoming the most vibrant events in the city.
