Villa Roz
About
A lakeside villa with a vintage interior and a vibrant representation of the diverse cuisines of the Caucasus.
Novorossiysk, village of Abrau-Durso Website Concept authors: Boris Titov, Sergey Alshevsky RESTAURANT DESCRIPTION "Villa Roz" is a long-awaited project for Abrau-Durso. The restaurant is located in the oldest building in the resort, on the shore of Lake Abrau. Previously, the winemaker Eduard Wedel lived here, who became famous for producing the first "Abrau-Durso" still wines. The theme of hospitable Caucasus was chosen deliberately, as Caucasian peoples lived on the territory of the winery thousands of years ago. "Villa Roz" is the first restaurant in Russia to feature a concept based on traditional Caucasian cuisine with a modern interpretation. The dishes created by chef Ruslan Terzyan represent high-level gastronomy, showcasing the richness of various unique Russian republics: Karachay-Cherkess, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, and Dagestan, as well as the welcoming Georgia, the mysterious Armenia, and Abkhazia. The authentic interior of the restaurant also deserves special attention: the vintage furniture and decorations were brought from Georgia. All the items were collected at flea markets and antique shops. The tableware is handmade by Georgian artisans. "Villa Roz" is also known for its wine cellar, which houses a collection of the best domestic wines.
