About
Rogue Asian cuisine/sake and set cocktails/delivery service
If the tiger is a national symbol or even a mascot for Asia, Moscow says, "Give us two." As a result, two majestic tigers have set up shop in the DEPO food market. These Asian guys are rebellious and determined to feed all of Moscow with a pan-Asian street food experience. The Twin Tigers restaurant is the epitome of the tiger's journey through four countries, represented by the cuisines of China, Vietnam, Thailand, and Taiwan.
For the Asian Food Gang, comfort is paramount. However, what is obvious to an Asian tiger may not be immediately clear to a Moscow guest, so the team has created a user-friendly menu navigation system. Each country is represented by a color: China is red, Vietnam is yellow, Thailand is green, and Taiwan is blue. So, you can confidently tell the waiter that you love Vietnamese cuisine and order a banh mi sandwich without fear of embarrassment. The tigers are a particular breed—they don't like waiting in lines, waiting for orders with a beeper, or carrying their food on a tray. They prefer comfortable chairs, appreciate good service, and always wash their paws before eating. That's why the Twin Tigers restaurant has a prime location in DEPO: its own team, its own seating area, its own veranda, and its own restroom. Even the majestic animal has a special schedule: open until 1:00 AM on weekdays and until 2:00 AM on weekends.
The menu is full of everything we love about Asia. We recommend starting with a classic, such as Pad Thai with seafood (850 rubles), which at Twin Tigers is made with sweet potato noodles and enhanced with an omelet roll. Or try the popular bao buns with shredded duck and mango (590 rubles), for which the dough is made by a Nepalese chef using a recipe known only to him in the city. The green salad with pomelo and sesame dressing (690 rubles) is so simple and yet so brilliant that you'll definitely want to try making it at home. And you'll keep coming back to Twin Tigers for the shrimp dumplings (740 rubles) because the combination of mango puree with chopped shrimp is simply unforgettable. Just like the cold "tigers tea" – mango/jasmine/green tea (400 rubles) or matcha/coconut (400 rubles), which include a unique ingredient: tapioca, small, sweet, edible balls made from the roots of tropical plants.
Asian Food Gang is more than just about food; it's about relaxation. Summer evenings are perfect for enjoying shisha (from 2500 rubles) and the accompanying cocktails. The tigers appreciate the classics, but they prefer the signature cocktail menu, which was created specifically for Twin Tigers. There are 7 signature cocktails based on gin, set, sake, rum, and vodka. The cocktails are numbered in sequence, with number 4 skipped. Like all Asians, our guys are a little superstitious, and the number 4 is the most "unpopular" character in China. Of course, it's best to start with cocktail number 5 – sake/milk oolong/passion fruit (650 rubles), and then… then you'll be on the path of the tiger, and you won't need any more guidance!
