Tempo di Pasta

About

A democratic pasta bar with a dance floor and bar, offering over fifty handmade pasta dishes that guests can customize by choosing their preferred pasta, sauces, and toppings.

Moscow, Myasnitskaya 24/7 About the Restaurant Tempo di Pasta is a democratic pasta bar serving 47 handmade pasta dishes created by chef Alexei Moiseev ("Goodman," "Filimonova and YANKEL," a student of Italian chef Fillipo Paoloni). Guests can choose from classic pre-designed combinations or create their own pasta dishes by adding various spices and sauces to their liking: select your pasta – penne, spaghetti, tagliatelle, or fettuccine – then choose a sauce – olio, cream, or tomato – and add your choice of mushrooms, mozzarella, truffle oil, duck, chicken, shrimp, salmon, seafood, mussels, grilled vegetables, or beef. Pasta dishes range from 260 rubles, and glasses of wine start at 180 rubles. The average bill is 800 rubles. The pasta is made in-house using a family recipe passed down from Signor Paoloni, just like traditional Roman pasta made with coarsely ground durum wheat flour. The pasta bar is located in a cozy courtyard of an old tenement building that once housed the Stroganov Technical Drawing School, designed by the legendary architect F. Shekhtel in 1904-1906. The building's walls still feature antique ceramic tiles created by students in the early 20th century, and a ceramic panel with the Stroganov School's emblem is preserved above the entrance to the inner courtyard where the pasta bar is located. The brick vaulted cellars hold many secrets – according to one legend, art students, inspired by the works of Michelangelo and Botticelli, held feasts here, where ideas for future works were often born. Later, the building reportedly housed the cellars of a cognac factory. In the early 20th century, this neighborhood was home to a bohemian youth, whose lives were filled with carefree fun, a thirst for adventure, and moderate, and sometimes not so moderate, indulgences. Tempo di pasta is located on the site of the former MadWineBar, retaining the best aspects of its predecessor. It features two rooms with a total of 100 seats, a bar, a dance floor, and high-quality professional sound. Pasta dishes range from 260 to 460 rubles per serving. Arrabbiata in tomato sauce costs 290 rubles, while Bolognese costs 290 rubles. Carbonara in cream sauce is 320 rubles, and several types of pasta with seafood are 460 rubles. For vegans, there's pasta with grilled vegetables (290 rubles) or with mushrooms (320 rubles). The menu also includes three types of pizza – "Margherita," "Four Cheese," and "Pepperoni" with spicy salami (420-460 rubles), as well as traditional Italian appetizers, soups, main courses, burgers, and desserts. In addition, the restaurant hosts cultural and gastronomic programs, including lectures on Italian culture and art, children's cooking classes in Italian cuisine, and wine tastings led by leading Moscow sommeliers.
