About

A sense of privacy, contemporary art, and Scandinavian influences in the menu – Sölna Bistro has opened at the MYS Boutique Hotel on Krivokolenny Lane.

This unique project is the brainchild of restaurateurs Gleb Marach (Joi Team) and Vladimir Makiev (Cosmic latte). Sölna Bistro occupies the spacious living room of the MYS Boutique Hotel on Krivokolenny Lane. The restaurant is named after the respectable Stockholm suburb of Sölna, known for its natural lakes and its distinctive atmosphere of intellectualism. The menu blends gastronomic traditions from different countries, with a focus on Scandinavia. For example, it features open-faced sandwiches on coffee-rye bread. Duck leg is served with a smoked sweet potato cream, and rare venison is complemented by pearl barley and cranberry sauce. From 8 am, you can order breakfast, including French toast with nectarine and white chocolate, and ricotta pancakes with a burst of caramel. The wine list is divided into two sections: a main list and an "underpriced" list featuring wines sold without a markup, allowing guests to discover interesting wines at a significant discount. The cocktail menu is innovative, combining simple and complex flavors, and incorporates herbs and roots with berries and fruits. Lemon verbena, pink rhodiola, and snow chrysanthemum, along with rowan berries, gooseberries, and kaffir lime, create a balance between unusual ingredient combinations and familiar tastes. Coffee plays a special role in this new project. Vladimir Makiev has been working with specialty coffee for over ten years, and his Cosmic latte coffee shop imports beans from various regions. The baristas not only expertly handle everyday arabica beans but also experiment with post-fermentation processes. For the Sölna Bistro's small coffee selection, which features classic options, the Cosmic latte team selects and roasts the beans, ensuring the impeccable quality of every cup. The minimalist interior design of Sölna Bistro provides the perfect backdrop for the art objects adorning the walls. This offers a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art during dinner, and the changing exhibitions ensure that each visit is slightly different. One of the main attractions is the wood-burning fireplace, where you can easily lose yourself in a sense of tranquility. The library area, on the other hand, provides a specific focus, with a collection of books about Moscow – covering everything from tourism and architecture to gastronomy. A special feature is the "secret" summer terrace, hidden from view in the courtyard. However, late-night gatherings with a glass of wine under the stars are also expected to be equally appealing. And for those who lose track of time, there's always the option of staying at the hotel and having breakfast delivered to their room. *Sölna is pronounced "sol-na," with the stress on the first syllable.
