"Skazki" (Tales) is located in a historic building – in 1960, it housed the famous "Tsentralny" restaurant, renowned throughout the Far East. Why "Skazki"? The menu, the interior, and the guided tours by resident storytellers all incorporate details from folktales around the world, legends, and experiences (tactile, visual, and taste). "Skazki" is like a feast of familiar and comforting dishes: you always know how it will end, but rereading familiar stories is always enjoyable, time and time again. Like recipes, "Skazki" are passed down from generation to generation, accumulating new details. That's why most dishes you've known since childhood have several variations, but the main plot and the key ingredient remain the same. The main magic at "Skazki" is the creation of emotions for the guests; the atmosphere allows you to awaken your "inner child." The restaurant's cuisine is based on a unique menu, created at the intersection of Russian and Eastern cultures, showcasing local products in a new light. It features Far Eastern seafood, classic dishes with unusual Asian sauces, Tula samovars (traditional tea kettles), show-style dessert presentations, and recipes brought by chefs from Iran and Egypt. Here you will find Russian borscht with veal, a "bewitched rose" made from a live flower in a "bath" of liquid nitrogen, and an Iranian dish that cannot be translated into Russian.
