About

A seafood restaurant located in the heart of the capital, on Balchug Island. "Ryba Mechty" (Fish of Dreams) offers fresh seafood and seasonal fish, sourced from the best suppliers with regular deliveries, ensuring the highest quality ingredients and impeccable execution.

The "Ryba Mechty" restaurant occupies a significant portion of the basement floor of a historic 19th-century building, formerly a distillery owned by Pyotr Smirnov. The interior has been intentionally preserved with minimal changes: the red brick walls have been restored, the vaulted ceilings have been enhanced with graphic depictions of marine life, and the hand-blown stained glass windows have been maintained. Near the open kitchen, there is an ice display case where guests can personally select the fish or shellfish they would like to enjoy for dinner. The dining room features two large aquariums – one with Kamchatka crabs, oysters, mussels, sea urchins, and scallops, and the other with freshwater fish such as sturgeon and rainbow trout.

The restaurant only works with trusted suppliers: wild fish, including salmon, pink salmon, halibut, and char, are sourced from fisheries in the Murmansk region and the Far East. Fresh sea urchins from Murmansk and scallops from Sakhalin are delivered to the restaurant two to three times a week.

The signature dishes of "Ryba Mechty" include Murmansk blue halibut, Commander Islands squid, Olyutorsk herring, black cod, and Far Eastern trumpetfish.

The project's head chef is Alexander Ibragimov. Chef Ibragimov honed his culinary skills at the Moulin de Mougins restaurant in France, a two-Michelin-starred establishment founded by Roger Verge and Paul Bocuse. He has also managed the kitchens of the legendary "Mario" restaurant and La Maree.

Menu highlights: Oyster "Rose Jolie" - 690 rubles. Oyster "Gillardeau" - 850 rubles. Carpaccio of pink salmon - 690 rubles. Trumpetfish salad with marinated peppers - 1650 rubles. Gravlax of sea bass fillet with citrus sauce - 1450 rubles. Risotto with scallops and truffle - 1690 rubles. Blue halibut with Kenyan beans and yellow pepper sauce - 1690 rubles. Grilled octopus - 1290 rubles (per 100g). The wine list, curated by sommelier Boris Litvinov, has been consistently ranked among the best in Moscow. It features 12 selections of rare wines served through the Coravin system (7 white and 5 red).

Capacity: Main dining room - 120 seats; VIP room - 12 seats.
