A new cafe offering unique dishes made with products from the Altai region has opened on the second floor of the main airport in the mountainous Altai region.
The cafe, located at the Gorno-Altaysk Airport, was developed and launched by Andrey Fedorov, the executive chef of the year-round Sber resort "Manzherok." Andrey has experience working in Michelin-starred restaurants and was also a finalist on the popular television show "Battle of the Chefs." Currently, the cafe is open to passengers and visitors of the airport from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, offering unique, high-quality dishes. Andrey Fedorov, the executive chef of the "Manzherok" resort, was responsible for developing the menu concept, launching the new production, and training the staff for the airport cafe in Gorno-Altaysk. Among Andrey Fedorov's professional achievements are his roles as executive chef in top restaurants in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg, five years of experience working in France at a restaurant with three Michelin stars, opening restaurants and bakeries in China, and his successful participation in the popular culinary and entertainment reality show "Battle of the Chefs," which airs on the "Piatnitsa!" television channel. "The main task of the kitchen in the airport is speed of preparation. Passengers shouldn't have to wait long for their orders, and the dishes should be complete but prepared quickly. When developing the new menu, I also focused on local, environmentally friendly products from the Altai region. For example, we prepare stroganoff from elk liver using an ancient Italian reverse cooking technique – it's incredibly tender. Another dish featuring local ingredients is pike meatballs with mashed potatoes and lingonberry sauce. The most important thing is that the dishes are of restaurant quality, interesting, high-quality, and delicious," said Andrey Fedorov, the new cafe's executive chef. The menu of the new cafe in the airport includes breakfast options (available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM), salads, appetizers, soups, hot dishes, pizza, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
