Layerz Cafe

About

A city cafe from renowned Australian chefs and restaurateurs, Tom Halpin and Glen Wallis.

At the end of September, Layerz Cafe, a city cafe from renowned Australian chefs and restaurateurs Tom Halpin and Glen Wallis, will open in the center of Voronezh. Guests can expect fresh pastries and bread from their own bakery, breakfast served until 4:00 PM, as well as a full menu, a wine list, and a cocktail menu.

Layerz Cafe is a modern city cafe with a relaxed atmosphere, inspired by the sunny city of Sydney. Tom Halpin and Glen Wallis have created a place where you can enjoy fresh pastries, excellent coffee, and simple, accessible options for everyday enjoyment. After a successful launch in Moscow, Layerz Cafe is expanding to other regions, and the first opening will be in Voronezh. There is a lot of activity and dynamism in the gastronomy sector here, and there is interest in new concepts.

The new Layerz Cafe is equally comfortable for a morning coffee, a business lunch, a family brunch, or dinner with friends. The menu features late breakfasts served until 4:00 PM, signature dishes from the chefs, and pastries from their own bakery. Flaky croissants, muffins, puff pastries, and sourdough bread are all baked on-site.

The cuisine at Layerz Cafe is based on high-quality, seasonal ingredients and simple yet expressive flavor combinations. There is something for everyone, with a standout dish being the hearty "Big Australian Breakfast" (950 ₽), featuring a perfectly cooked egg, flavorful chicken sausage, crispy bacon, mushrooms, and vegetables on a bed of spinach. The Kiev cutlet (890 ₽) with fluffy mashed potatoes and fresh herbs will delight lovers of classic dishes. For those who appreciate rich flavors, the melt-in-your-mouth lamb with mashed potatoes, smoked sour cream, and juicy cherry tomatoes (1100 ₽) is a must-try. And for dessert, there's a lemon cake (540 ₽) with a cloud of whipped cream. Among the cocktails, the Peach Time (750 ₽) is worth highlighting – a perfect balance of peach sweetness, white rum bitterness, and thyme spice. Those who enjoy sparkling wines will love the Lychee Spritz (750 ₽) – a light mix of prosecco with exotic lychee and a refreshing mint flavor.

The interior features natural wood, stone, and panoramic windows that fill the space with sunlight. There will also be an art collaboration with Voronezh artist Alyona Zasulskaya (who collaborates with the clothing brand Pitkina). Alyona is inspired by nature and forms, and in 2025, she signed a contract with the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo (MOMAT). Her works are in private collections in Georgia, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
