Barca is located in the historic building of the Levashovsky bakery, where a new life and a cultural and business space have been beautifully created in St. Petersburg. The concept is based on the story of a boat that docked at the shore of a small, dark, yet incredibly cozy village, with its own soul and atmosphere. The space itself evokes the same feelings and creates a sense of presence through subtle, yet understandable, interior elements, such as large oars that seem ready for the next voyage, shingles on a radial wall that were used as roofing on houses, and, of course, the central table shaped like the very boat that is docked. The main goal was to create a conceptual space with a unique idea that would make the interior distinctive, with its own soul and atmosphere. The restaurant's menu fully reflects the concept and offers a wide selection of the freshest, top-quality seafood and rare varieties of fish. Snapper is specially delivered from Sri Lanka and Mauritius. Oysters, turbot, and monkfish are brought from Morocco. Fresh oysters and scallops are imported from Sakhalin. Live sea urchins and crabs come from the Arctic. Perch, whitefish, pike, and bass are delivered from the shores of Lake Ladoga. Trout is brought from Turkey. However, there are also dishes for meat lovers – lamb, veal, marbled beef, and duck are prepared over an open fire, especially for them. The wine list features over 300 exclusive and interesting selections, carefully curated by head sommelier Anastasia Gavrilova from the best wineries and perfectly complementing the dishes on the menu. During the day, you can come to the restaurant for a late breakfast from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or embark on a Mediterranean gastronomic journey. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a luxurious and elegant dining experience with an unparalleled atmosphere.
