Bar 1642

About

1642 is the only French Art Nouveau-style bar in Russia.

What is 1642? It's more than just an address; it's a place where we welcome our guests. The essence lies in the details. The unique Art Nouveau style, rare and exclusive alcoholic beverages, absinthe with its own philosophy, and a sense of ritual in every serving.

What is Art Nouveau? It's a style that marked the beginning of a century of great changes in art. It was created to unite all disciplines: art, design, and architecture. It's elegant, multifaceted, and doesn't rely on the patterns of the past. It embodies a clear idea: the creation of beauty.

We promote the philosophy of "art du goût" – the art of taste, where every element is important, and the enjoyment begins with the sight of the glass and lasts until the very last sip.

We don't simply imitate France; we honestly work with its heritage and traditions. Each bottle of exclusive alcohol deserves its own lecture, but we have managed to perfectly integrate these gems of the alcoholic world into our cocktails, not only to introduce guests to something new, but also to immediately make them feel connected.

Our selection includes mistels (Pineau des Charentes, Floc de Gascogne, Pommeau de Normandie, Ratafia Champagne), wine aperitifs (Rinky Dink, Orange Colombo, Bonnal, etc.), and we would especially like to mention the yellow wine from the Jura region (a true diamond for connoisseurs), as well as strong spirits (Armagnac, Agricole, Bigale Châine Châine, Elixir Combier, etc.), and of course, French cider (from different regions, where terroir plays a very important role).

And of course, the cocktails themselves. They introduce guests to France through the lens of history, culture, art, and, of course, cuisine.
