Richard and Yvonne Stöckli's commitment to their 400-year-old inn has not faltered even after over 40 years. In the charming little space, the lady of the house cordially and competently heads up the service – and also has up her sleeve some excellent wine recommendations from a great selection. Meanwhile, her husband draws on select ingredients to cook up meals with a well-rounded, harmonious taste profile. His modern, seasonal menu comprising four to seven courses demonstrates a strong allegiance to the region; some produce comes from their own garden or from the Alp Nessleren – and the cheese he makes himself should be mentioned, too. On the delightful garden terrace, the best spots are beneath the old plane tree. The rustic-style bistro and the pretty guestrooms are also part of this charming picture.
