This sophisticated spot, contemporary in feel and with a charming climate-controlled, glass-fronted terrace, pays true homage to the Algarve, with dishes that reinterpret its flavours and show a special fondness for using local fish and seafood. Chef Rui Sequeira, now back in his homeland after stints at prestigious restaurants, champions a signature kitchen that, grounded in good sense, combines modern techniques with traditional roots. It offers à la carte service with a small number of dishes, an intriguing tasting menu (O amor além do tempo: uma viagem pelas lendas algarvias) that tells different regional legends linked to each course, and, as an extra, the option of a vegetarian menu. What caught our attention? The moment of Pão de fermentação lenta, manteiga, azeite virgem extra e muxuma de atum, slow-fermented bread with butter, extra-virgin olive oil and tuna muxama - salt-cured tuna -, arriving at the table still warm, made with sourdough is... a true pleasure for the senses.
