About
In 1993, Xu Lei graduated from the Shanghai Culinary School and immediately began an internship at the Jin Jiang Hotel (5-star). In 1997, he moved to the Park Hotel Shanghai.
In 2001, Xu moved to Moscow and began his career in the capital city as a sous chef at the restaurant "KiKaKu," which was considered one of the best Chinese restaurants at the time. In 2010, Xu continued his career as the brand chef at Zю-cafe. After working there for 4 years, in 2014 he moved to the restaurant "Kitayskaya Gramota," becoming its brand chef. Since 2016, he has also been the head chef at the Black Thai restaurant.
He was born in Shanghai and lived and studied there until 2001. He is married with a daughter, and they live in Shanghai. In his free time, he enjoys reading historical books, listening to Chinese music, and playing football.
