About

Oleg's passion for cooking began in the 4th grade, so after graduating from high school, he enrolled in a culinary school. At some point, he became deeply interested in Asian culture – he bought books on how to make sushi and simultaneously practiced martial arts.

Oleg's professional journey began at the age of 17 at the restaurant "Barracuda," where he learned the basics of Asian cuisine and how to combine sauces. At the age of 21, just before the Olympics, he moved to Sochi and immediately took on the position of sous chef at the restaurant "Rucola." Later, he became the head chef of the "My Russia" complex in Krasnaya Polyana and even worked in Abkhazia for several years. At the age of 24, he created his first kitchen at the restaurant "Berloga." After some time, he assembled a team and began working at the oyster bar "Kashalot." Currently, Oleg is the brand chef of the Kashalot Group restaurant chain (Sochi), which includes the gastrobar "Tsatsa" (Roza Khutor), hookah bars "Hubble Bubble" (Sochi and Roza Khutor), and the oyster bar "Kashalot." At the gastrobar "Tsatsa," he has managed to achieve something that has never been done before: to elevate two very different ancient culinary traditions – Caucasian and Asian – to a new level.
