About
In 2004, right after serving in the army, I started working at the Moscow restaurant "Bavarius" and stayed there for 11 years, working in various positions, from cook to head of the hot kitchen section and sous chef. I learned through experience! Later, I advanced to the position of head chef in several bars (Futura, "Darling, I'll call you back!"), but most importantly, I found my mentor in the profession – Alexei Kostygov. Thanks to him, I ended up at the wonderful restaurant "Musson." Alexei essentially passed the kitchen on to me, and soon I was working independently, hosting gastronomic dinners. The dinner celebrating the second anniversary of "Musson" was a collaborative effort, with both of us working together. Alexei Kostygov, in turn, considers himself a student of Adrian Ketglas, with whom he had the opportunity to work in St. Petersburg. Finding a mentor is very important, even more so than formal education. Moreover, there are so many opportunities for self-education these days. However, nothing can replace travel and experiencing different cuisines... except perhaps one's own sense of harmony and imagination.
