Run by the Hämmerle family, this place enjoys great popularity, so it is advisable to book well in advance! With its welcoming country house feel, charming service and great food, it makes for an appealing alternative to the fine dining restaurant. The kitchen turns out flavoursome dishes such as beef roulade and cordon bleu with port wine jus, spring vegetables and Geheirade (potatoes and dumplings). The kitchen places emphasis on seasonal ingredients and regional sourcing; occasional Mediterranean influences are also incorporated. The three-course menu of the day, with a choice available for each course, is a particular highlight. The restaurant is only open on weekdays, but serves lunch Mon-Fri and dinner on Thu and Fri. In summer, the gorgeous terrace proves a big draw.
