This third-generation family business dates back to 1959 and its signature braised pork rice has been the favourite breakfast for generations of Kaohsiungese. The pork sauce is rich, but not greasy; the version with extra fried milkfish floss on top imparts a crunchy bite and briny umami. Over medium duck egg is another popular add-on – poke the yolk and let it run over the rice. They are always busy and may close early when everything has sold out.
