This unique coffee shop is designed to transport you, even during a familiar ritual like your morning coffee or evening tea, to a different space. One side features modern interpretations of Mezen paintings. The other side is decorated with patterns taken from traditional towels that were used to adorn homes during holidays, or from platters used to serve bread and salt. A composition of dried flowers mimics a field of rye, while handcrafted wooden carvings are combined with modern lighting for each element. The combination of a modern, popular drink menu with an original menu featuring Northern themes makes the place appealing to both tourists and locals. In this case, the "to-go" format and the small size of the space create a "doorway to Narnia" effect: an unexpected, temporary, and immersive experience that allows you to be alone, away from the crowd, in a space that is strikingly different from the surrounding reality, giving you the opportunity to examine and connect with each element while remaining in your own thoughts.
