The exterior of this patrician house (1585) in the heart of Lübeck is just as beautiful and charming as its stylish interior, which is adorned with art. In the kitchen, Roy Petermann and his son Jean-Luc serve up classic cuisine with a Mediterranean twist in the form of a three- or five-course set menu that changes every three weeks (beautifully presented in calligraphy), or – when pre-ordered per table – a seven-course surprise menu. There is also a vegetarian set menu. Dishes such as marinated hamachi with asparagus vinaigrette, lettuce and elderflower, or onglet steak with truffle jus and variations of celeriac showcase both outstanding ingredients and well-balanced flavour combinations. The wine list is carefully selected, with a strong emphasis on Germany and Europe as well as some labels from overseas.
