A modern take on the traditional wine tavern in a tranquil little village. The historical setting has been given a makeover including attractive decorative touches: alongside the numerous wine bottles on display, the ceiling is adorned with a depiction of the wine route marked with its famous wine villages. In summer, the courtyard terrace is a wonderful spot. The dedicated team led by Jeanette and Henning Weinheimer provides very friendly, professional service. Their high-quality regional and seasonal cuisine is full of flavour and character – and pairs well with local wine. Diners can order à la carte or choose between two set menus – one with three courses, the other with four. Meat-eaters should ask about their "Steak Weeks"; Sunday roast is available if pre-ordered. House-baked bread can also be purchased to take away. For overnight stays, there are lovely guestrooms.
