"This simple, typical trattoria (not to be confused with the more elegant Cibrèo restaurant next door) has long been one of the best places in Florence for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, traditional cuisine without spending a fortune. The menu features an array of dishes that have become firm favourites over the years: tripe salad, vegetable soup with red rice, stewed lampredotto (a sort of tripe), roast pork loin with mashed potatoes and, to finish, a caramel panna cotta that evokes memories of the past.As summed up by the Inspector: “It’s the restaurant I’d choose to eat at if I were on holiday in the city.” A reassuring and recognisable establishment, true to its personal culinary philosophy and still much loved today.
