Maxim Volkov's "The Mad Cook" culinary workshop has moved to a new location, nestled among ancient pine trees in the seaside park, offering local ingredients and a grander experience.

The renowned restaurant project specializing in авторская кухня (author's cuisine) has relocated to Yalta, a city known for its beauty. The new "The Mad Cook by the Sea" boasts an incredible location amidst ancient pine trees and unique local flora in the Primorsky Park. The byMaximVolkov restaurant group is expanding southward. The Mad Cook, which opened in Moscow on Tsvetnoy Boulevard in 2016, now has a Yalta address. The project is located in one of the city's must-see destinations – Primorsky Park, just a few meters from the picturesque Black Sea coast. "The Mad Cook by the Sea" continues the "rebellious" and creative concept of its Moscow predecessor, but on a larger scale. The new version is more expansive, modern, and places a significant emphasis on local ingredients, particularly fresh fish and seafood. The menu features a wide variety of Black Sea delicacies: horse mackerel, flounder, sea bass, trout, swordfish, mussels, shrimp, and rapans. The "by the Sea" designation allows for experimentation with ingredients from other regions as well. You might find Faroese salmon or, for example, French and other oysters, which are kept in a large aquarium. A signature feature of the restaurant is its homemade pasta: tagliatelle, nerogitara, or pappardelle, all made fresh every morning. As with the original project, "The Mad Cook by the Sea" operates on an "open food" principle, meaning that dishes not listed on the menu can be prepared upon request. The bar menu features unique cocktails, and the wine cellar (yes, a dedicated room with panoramic windows for wine tasting!) houses a large collection from around the world, including excellent Crimean wines from wineries like Pavel Shvets. The head sommelier is always available to recommend the perfect wine pairing for each dish.
