In 1977, The Cow opened in an old cowshed dating back to the 1860s. Since then, it has become something of a culinary landmark in Queenstown. The softly lit venue feels rustic and warm, while the food is fresh, simple and delicious. The menu has stayed the same since day one – pizzas, pasta, soups, bread and salads, all made in bona fide Italian country style. Must-tries include garlic bread and chicken liver pasta. Expect long queues at dinner time.
