For many years now, Christine Heß and Michael Laus have been delivering on their appealing "soul food" concept at their restaurant right next to Auerbach town hall. He demonstrates a knack for creative cuisine, injecting modern touches, for example, in "Ibérico pork dim sum, butternut squash, green papaya, edamame, snow peas, spring onions, Thai curry" – an exceptionally flavoursome combination that harmoniously balances acidity and heat. The quality of the produce used is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Choose from two set menus ("DasEine" or "DasAndere") – individual courses can also be swapped in or out – or go à la carte. Should you wish to pad it out, there are recommendations to be added on. Vegetarian alternatives can also be prepared on request. Christine Heß is a cordial hostess, serving guests with considerable care, but it is the chef who brings out the aperitif nibbles at the start. A lovely modern restaurant that serves simply excellent food!
