A stone's throw from the sea, the restaurant in the small boutique hotel of the same name is impressive in several respects. Inside the smart brick building, the interior design is tasteful and modern, with a visible kitchen and gorgeous views towards the North Sea – the lovely seaside terrace is particularly inviting. Adding to the appeal is Markus Kebschull's wonderful cooking. His style is classic in its foundations, with skilfully incorporated modern influences and a strong emphasis on high-quality seasonal produce. There are two set menus (one of them vegetarian) comprising three to six courses – "Scottish salmon & Irish Môr oyster, caviar, buttermilk, samphire, white asparagus" is a fine example. A small à la carte selection is also available. The fabulous food is matched by extremely courteous and friendly service.
