Now that Nelson Müller and his team have moved from Essen to Bergisch Gladbach, the affable restaurateur and celebrity chef is showcasing his dine dining cuisine at Diepeschrather Mühle, a converted mill set in beautiful natural surroundings. They serve a modern, ambitious set menu with seasonal influences. Great attention to detail and an unfailing sense of balance never fail to impress in dishes such as "Seabed" – turbot, roe sauce, morel ravioli, mandarin, caviar or "From the Bresse" – imperial quail, spring chicken, pointed cabbage, duck liver, grapes. The vegetarian version of the set menu needs to be ordered in advance. Consider opting for the wine pairings to accompany the set menu. Attentive and professional service is provided by a well-staffed team, and the chefs even get in on the act. Here at the new location, there is a brasserie as an alternative to the restaurant: Müllers in der Mühle. For a really chic overnight stay, this gorgeous property also houses an exquisite boutique hotel with tasteful modern rooms and suites, as well as an attractive wellness and spa area.
