Sayora

About

A large family-style restaurant in the center of Yaroslavl, featuring a menu that showcases the most famous dishes from the Great Silk Road, spanning from the East to the Mediterranean.

Inspired by the traditions of Eastern hospitality, we have created a large family restaurant and teahouse in the center of Yaroslavl, bringing together the most renowned dishes from the cuisine of the Great Silk Road, from the East to the Mediterranean. For over fifteen hundred years, this trade route, stretching 7,000 kilometers, connected Asia with modern Europe. You can experience this journey in just a few minutes, simply by browsing our menu. The name of the restaurant fully reflects our philosophy: "Sayora" in Arabic means "journeys" and "cosmos," a beautiful female name that evokes images of traveling to distant planets and civilizations. Tradition and modernity, centuries-old recipes and technology, baked goods made with skilled hands, and signature cocktails, national ornaments, and trendy design – all are united under one roof. In our quest to find the true gems of Eastern cuisine, we traveled throughout Uzbekistan with our chefs, spending months perfecting the festive plov, a dish whose flavor is unforgettable once tasted. We meticulously selected suppliers of the finest rice, meat, spices, and vegetables, so that you can say about each dish, "This is simply amazing!" What is a teahouse? Of course, it's a large, steaming cauldron of plov, juicy manty dumplings, golden-brown hot flatbreads and samsa pastries from the tandoor oven, lagman noodles with handmade noodles, and grilled kebabs, followed by fragrant hot tea with honey-flavored baklava... Simple, timeless, and familiar food, where the quality of the ingredients, the method of preparation (cauldron or grill), and adherence to authentic recipes are paramount. When we opened "Sayora," we wanted all these dishes to bring our guests true enjoyment. That's why we invited the renowned chef Hakim Ganiev, a recognized expert in plov preparation and the author of numerous popular books on Uzbek cuisine, to be our head chef. Our menu features both traditional Uzbek dishes and modern interpretations of classic recipes, what we call "modern Uzbek cuisine," as well as signature desserts and cocktails.
