Salone pasta&bar
About
A trendy restaurant from St. Petersburg, offering rare Italian specialties collected over years of travel throughout Italy, iconic cocktails, and the timeless "dolce vita."
Exactly four years after its founding, and having gained hundreds of thousands of fans among foodies in St. Petersburg, the project by Mikhail Sokolov, Timur Dmitriev, and Alexander Sysyev has opened in Moscow. Salone pasta&bar is a place where pasta is revered. A whole room is dedicated to it, where "pasta grannies" work daily, hand-making homemade tagliatelle, maltagliati, and ravioli according to recipes collected during our travels in Emilia-Romagna. The Salone menu is based on the use of high-quality ingredients and a minimal number of components, with the primary goal of enhancing and complementing the main flavor. The restaurant's kitchen is managed by two talented chefs: Evgeny Engelke (executive chef) and Denis Lukyanenko (chef de cuisine). The cocktail menu for Salone was developed by head bartender Igor Loburtsev. Each drink is an ode to the Italian lifestyle, their culture, pop culture, iconic figures, and artists. There are tributes to Modigliani, Fellini, and even the "king of Italian adult films," Tinto Brass. Each cocktail tells a small story. The wine list at the restaurant is designed so that every guest can always find something to their taste. It includes wines for lovers of classic styles, familiar names from different countries and regions, representatives of the new wave of winemaking, and small family wineries where manual labor, attention to detail, and respect for the environment are the guiding principles. The interior design for the Moscow Salone pasta&bar was created by the St. Petersburg-based Neymand studio. The main goal of the interior was to convey the spirit of Salone, preserving its ironic frescoes in the style of the Renaissance, vintage furniture, a brass bar, theatrical lighting, and a general atmosphere that is captivating. Every detail in Salone is meticulously crafted. Each plate or glass tells a story, whether it's iconic Italian tableware from Ginori, Austrian glassware from Zalto, or vintage cutlery purchased at a flea market in France. When talking about Salone, it's impossible not to mention the unique atmosphere and the exceptional service, which the team consistently demonstrates, proving that the name of the project was chosen not by chance. In Italy, "salone" refers to a living room where the hosts entertain their friends and family for dinner, and thanks to our meticulous work, every guest at Salone feels exactly that way.
