Sagalien: A restaurant with island-inspired comfort food and a history that began over 300 years before its opening.

Sagalien is a forgotten name for Sakhalin, which appeared on European maps in the 17th century. Honoring classic European recipes and paying tribute to the history of the name, we have reimagined beloved comfort food through a focus on product quality and the innovative approach of our head chef, Ivan Stroitelyev.

Island-inspired comfort food is a new interpretation of classics, combined with the rich and diverse local products of Sakhalin. Fish, wild plants, seafood, farm-fresh cheeses, and cottage cheese from our own dairy – all of this allows us to create dishes with a distinctive and recognizable character, surprising with a combination of flavors and textures.
