Ron de Pipa
About
Ron de Pipa is a concept cocktail bar with the atmosphere of old Cuba.
Ron de Pipa, a restaurant by Andrey Petrov (co-owner of "Petrov i Vasechka," "Komnata Otdyha," "Pey da gulyay," and "Chelovek iz doma vyshel"), opened at the end of July 2025. Roman Kovalchuk ("Eiwa," "Zori," "Kulek," "Bereg") participated in the creation and development of the concept. The name of the project refers to the tradition of storing rum in barrels (pípa), a symbol of accessibility and the spirit of camaraderie of old Havana.
Ron de Pipa is a bar imbued with the spirit of old Cuba. Its main pride is rum, made according to traditional recipes from local provinces. Here you will find a wide variety of flavors and combinations from the Caribbean.
The head chef is Alexander Chekryzhov (brand chef of "Unilever Food Solutions" and "Riva"). The menu focuses on island-inspired street food presented in a gastronomic style. Among the cold appetizers are ceviche and tartare, variations of Spanish pinchos, and fresh ensaladas. The "comida caliente" section (meaning "hot food" in Spanish) includes bandeh paissa (a traditional Cuban lunch with rice, sausages, and fried eggs), salmon steak with smoked sausages, and enchiladas with braised beef. The selection also includes internationally known dishes such as sweet potato and french fries with cheddar and BBQ sauces, classic tacos, and a delicate Basque cheesecake.
Alexandra Churilova ("Noor Bar," "Zotman Pizza Pie," "Dream Bar") is responsible for the bar's offerings. The cocktail menu features both classic cocktails and original creations dedicated to historical Cuban heroes.
Ron de Pipa boasts the largest selection of rum. The staff will gladly share the history of each one during a tasting and introduction.
The interior, designed by Andrey Tsarakaev, founder of the Modburo architectural studio, is in a colonial style. The worn walls, reminiscent of Cuban streets, crystal chandeliers, vintage rattan furniture, aged mirrors, and colorful stained glass create an atmosphere reminiscent of the Hemingway era.
The space is divided into two floors: the first floor features an open kitchen and a bar area, while downstairs, accessible by a staircase, is a hall for lively parties with dancing and a DJ. Further down is a "living room," a reincarnation of the speakeasy "Chelovek iz doma vyshel." Here, everyone can become a part of the Ron de Pipa story and fully immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Cuban hospitality.
