Rechnoy

The three-masted sailing ship, moored on Mytninskaya Embankment, has been delighting residents and visitors of the northern capital for over a decade and a half with its stunning views of the city's main attractions. The ideators and co-founders of the project, Ravil Shaikhidarov and Ekaterina Potashova, viewed the realities of 2020 as a challenge and decided to completely renovate the ship, transforming it into one of the most ambitious and large-scale restaurant projects.

The "Rechnoy" restaurant's menu focuses on fish and seafood. Under the guidance of chef Alexander Stegărescu, known for his work on projects in St. Petersburg and London, a global gastronomic mix has been created. The Far Eastern cuisine features dishes like curry ramen, Thai-style shrimp, pickled cucumbers with daikon and cashews, and cod in miso sauce. The Mediterranean cuisine is represented by a variety of pastas and pizzas, as well as a Mediterranean salad with shrimp. The Latin American influence is evident in the Peruvian-style beef carpaccio (the restaurant also offers a selection of meat dishes). The culinary traditions of North America are represented by seafood chowder and crab cakes with a curry-coconut sauce.

The restaurant's aquarium is home to marine life from all over the planet: sea urchins from the Barents and White Seas; Hasan and imperial oysters from the Sea of Japan and the Peter the Great Bay; vongole from the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan; scallops from Murmansk.

The menu also features freshwater fish, including sprat, carp, catfish, and smelt, which are essential to St. Petersburg cuisine.

The interior design of the "Rechnoy" restaurant was created by the Choice studio. The designers have created a bright, airy, spacious, and yet cozy space, featuring pleasing natural tones and classic color combinations, eco-friendly materials, and live plants. The panoramic windows, like an art album, offer guests inspiring views of St. Petersburg.
