MORECA Seafood & Wine – a boutique seafood restaurant located in a historic building on the Lower Lake in Kaliningrad.

The restaurant is situated in Kaliningrad, within a historic German building that was formerly a five-star hotel, known as Parkhotel (built in 1929). It all started with a passionate love for oysters, champagne, and indulgence. This restaurant is Inessa Kudryashova's first independent project. Chef Alexei Potapov was responsible for developing the restaurant's menu. Our philosophy is to prepare dishes according to classic recipes, enhancing them with high-quality ingredients and a focus on pure flavors. The restaurant's cuisine primarily features dishes from the Mediterranean region. You can find grilled Moroccan octopus, pasta vongole, and sea bass with vegetables on the menu. Fresh seafood, including oysters, sea urchins, crabs, and shrimp, is always available. The catch is delivered twice a week, and some of the shellfish are kept in an aquarium located near the restaurant's entrance. Specialties such as Ibérico de bellota ham and truffles are regularly sourced, and the selection is constantly updated with new items. The intimate wine cellar is the heart of the restaurant, a perfect place for tastings with friends and family. The wine list features a diverse selection of wines from around the world, ranging from classic estates to reputable large producers, as well as an exceptional personal collection owned by the restaurant's owner, acquired at auctions. Moreca restaurant uses the Coravin system, which allows guests to sample virtually any of the exclusive wines by the glass. This innovative technology fills the glass with wine without removing the cork from the bottle. The principle is simple and based on the laws of physics: a thin, hollow needle pierces the cork and is inserted into the wine, creating excess pressure using an inert and safe gas, argon. The remaining wine in the bottle remains preserved for weeks, months, or even years. Every subsequent glass will taste as good as the first. The elegant design pays close attention to detail. Guests can admire handcrafted ceramic dishes used for serving seafood, as well as decorative elements such as wall panels created by artists and sculptors. The restaurant has two dining areas: The first room is bright and airy, with large windows. The tables are arranged close together, and there is a large table for a group of 8 people. The second room is a more intimate space, divided into two sections, with a large wine wall and a fireplace, creating a cozy atmosphere. It is ideal for hosting private events. During the warmer months, a terrace is open. Comfortable tables and a variety of flowers create a special atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility. Breakfast at Moreca restaurant offers a combination of simple and familiar dishes, such as syrniki (cheese pancakes) and porridge with seasonal berries, alongside unique combinations: crab omelet, potato pancakes with crab and tiger prawns, and sweet potato waffles with salmon and green salad. Breakfast is served daily from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
