About

The first thing that strikes you in this simple, unpretentious restaurant, somewhat tucked away in the Buenos Aires district known as “the island” of La Paternal (so called because it is partially enclosed by train tracks and the Chacarita cemetery), is its unique bohemian charm, despite occupying the former premises of an industrial bakery. From this period in its history it has preserved an old oven, some of the large tables used to knead dough that are now used by guests, and countless vintage items (old TVs, bread shovels, antique crockery, weighing scales etc) which add a genuine touch to the decor. Here, chef Jazmín Marturet showcases her cooking on a concise and contemporary à la carte featuring eclectic details and a hint of fusion which changes regularly but retains a strong commitment to her taste for spices and the tangy flavours she has discovered on her travels around the world. The ambience here is both relaxed and authentic, and the restaurant is popular with a local clientele.
