The story of Media Cafe began 7 years ago in sunny Sri Lanka, when Oleg Uvarov created the Surf's Up Hotel surf camp. This project brought together people for whom travel and surfing have become a way of life. Today, Oleg continues to share his love for the island by opening Media Cafe – a place where Sri Lankan traditions are reflected in every dish, drink, and detail of the interior. The menu, developed by chef Evgeny Kozubov, combines traditional Sri Lankan flavors with modern culinary trends from Moscow. Evgeny's acquaintance with the island also began at the Surf's Up Hotel surf camp. The menu is based on classic rice and curry, where spiciness, sweetness, and spices are perfectly balanced. Roti, a popular Sri Lankan flatbread, is served here with various fillings, from chicken to salmon. Special attention is paid to breakfast: avocado toast with tuna, syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes) with coconut condensed milk and passion fruit, rice porridge in coconut milk with mango – all dishes with the taste of the island. The tea at Media Cafe is brought directly from Ceylon plantations, offering both classic flavors and signature tea cocktails created by head bartender Dmitry Yatsikman. His coffee menu includes classic coffee, specialty coffee, and non-alcoholic coffee cocktails that reveal new flavor dimensions. Dmitry, known as an innovator in the field of non-alcoholic beverages, adds his unique interpretation to each drink. Media Cafe is not only about gastronomy, but also a place for communication, creativity, and inspiration. Concerts, author's dinners, podcasts, and stand-up shows are held here. There is also a media portal that connects Moscow with the surf camp in Sri Lanka, allowing guests to admire the ocean waves and sunsets of the island.
