About
On the north bank of the Rhône, opposite Avignon and the Palais des Papes, the small town of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon also boasts its fair share of monuments, one of which is Le Prieuré. This old priory, oozing charm by the bucketload, provides the perfect foil for creative cuisine made with first-rate produce. The sometimes bold, surf and turf combinations hit the spot every time: artichoke and morels in brioche bread, wild garlic and barigoule jus or gravlax of turbot, shellfish, seaweed, citrus fruit and spring veg.
