Set in the Vosges mountains, surrounded by unspoilt wilderness, this luxurious chalet hotel complete with spa facilities invites guests to completely switch off. High up in the mountains, a rejuvenating tranquillity – verging on the monastic – reigns. Indeed, the site was Brother Joseph's Hermitage prior to becoming a small ski resort. Fine dining has been brought to this unique setting by Benoit Potdevin (Le K at Domaine de la Klauss, MICHELIN-starred in Moselle), supported by chef Maximilian Troebs. Inspired by the regional terroir, their set menus (one of which is plant-based) are a feast of precision and finesse: white asparagus, lovage coulis and yuzu hollandaise; slow-cooked veal entrecôte, morels stuffed with grilled shallots and a full-bodied jus. Beautiful dishes served by a congenial and efficient team.
