In the upper reaches of Porticcio, Richard Toix has found the perfect setting for his refined, flavoursome cuisine. With a sure hand and impeccable taste, he meticulously crafts dishes that blend influences from Corsica, mainland-France and Asia – from travels that have nourished his imagination and his palette. His cuisine shows that he is particularly attuned to flavours, a case in point being the starter of sweet onion with octopus soubrassada, confit egg yolk and chicken jus, or the delicious dessert combining apricot and Cervione hazelnuts – an ode to the "Island of Beauty". The terrace commands a fantastic view of the Gulf of Ajaccio and the Îles Sanguinaires.
