Not far from Guillotière metro station, this neighbourhood neo-bistro has taken over a former bouchon. The aesthetic is unabashedly retro, with Formica tables, terrazzo floors and a 1970s vibe. It is run by a close-knit duo: front of house is Mathias Begin (of Substrat fame), who is passionate about wine; in the kitchen, Matthias Lallemant is an alumnus of some of Lyon's finest restaurants. Expect clever, generous, uninhibited cuisine that can be shared without fuss. Perfectly cooked trout, creamy peas and chanterelles, siphon hollandaise sauce, and natural wines to wash it all down… A wonderful gourmet interlude!
